Independent study or directed reading courses are carefully overseen by the Administration. Each student is required to take two of these courses to receive a degree. The Administration will provide a list of course options available for the student. Grading is on a Pass/Fail basis.
Independent study and/or directed reading courses are not available to every student equally—just for the sake of taking care of a few credits for the student. On the contrary, special circumstances must prevail for the Administration to authorize a student to take additional courses.
